Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Human Rights at NCKU

NCKU upholds the values of diversity and inclusion by establishing dedicated committees and offices responsible for advancing policies, programs, and training related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights. These entities provide consultation and resources to ensure that all students have equal opportunities and rights, fostering campus equity and human rights development.

Committees and Offices for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  1. NCKU Gender Equity Education Committee
    Chaired by the university president, this committee is responsible for handling sexual harassment cases, providing counseling resources, and organizing lectures and courses on gender equality
  1. Indigenous Student Resource Center & Admissions Committee for New Immigrants
    Established under the Office of Student Affairs, these entities provide consultation and support for Indigenous and new resident students, assisting them with admissions and campus life adaptation. They also promote diversity and equity education policies to ensure equal learning and development opportunities.
  1. Center for Gender & Women Studies
    This center focuses on gender studies, fostering multicultural understanding and advancing social equity and inclusion.

Ensuring Educational Equity and Supporting Underprivileged Students' Development
NCKU upholds a non-discriminatory admissions policy, ensuring equal access to education for all students. The university provides academic assistance and financial support for new immigrants, Indigenous students, and low-income families, helping underprivileged students complete their education successfully.
