NCKU’s Bottom financial quintile admission target
For example, the "Cheng Xing" admission plan, launched in 2017, enrolls over 40 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds each year. Students from families with an annual income below 1.2 million NTD can apply for student loans with lower interest rates, and depending on their family circumstances, they may also be eligible for interest waivers.
Additionally, the university offers several financial aid programs to help alleviate the economic burdens of underprivileged students, such as the "Success Cultivation - Assistance for Disadvantaged Students Program," "Chen-Xi Scholarship," "Scholarships for Economically Disadvantaged Students," and "Student Gift Aid," all aimed at reducing students' financial stress.
