“Cheng Xing Admission Plan” (成星招生計畫) and Support for Economically Disadvantaged Students
For example, the "Cheng Xing admission plan" , launched in 2017, enrolls over 40 students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds each year. Students from families with an annual income below 1.2 million NTD can apply for student loans with lower interest rates, and depending on their family circumstances, they may also be eligible for interest waivers.
Diverse Financial Aid and Living Support Programs
In addition, the university offers multiple financial aid programs to help alleviate the economic burden on disadvantaged students. For example, "Chen-Xi Scholarship," "Scholarships for Economically Disadvantaged Students," and "NCKU Regulations on Student Gift Aid," provide immediate financial support. At the same time, initiatives such as the NCKU Aiding Underprivileged Groups Project and the Work-Study Grant encourage students to balance their living needs while enhancing their learning capacity, thereby further easing daily pressures.
