NCKU partnered with Mercuries F&B to install ECOCO smart recycling machines on campus, integrating educational campaigns to cultivate students’ awareness of resource recycling and circular use. Through hands-on operation and environmental education activities, this initiative enhances students’ understanding of low-carbon, sustainable living while promoting green sustainability in collaboration with industry.

Google and NCKU Net-Zero Emissions Symposium: Google Experts Join Faculty and Students to Discuss Net-Zero Technology Development and Future Collaboration.
NCKU collaborated with Google to host a Net-Zero Emissions Symposium, inviting technology experts to share the latest carbon reduction technologies and practical experiences with faculty and students. Through discussions and interactive exchanges, students learn climate action strategies, engage in environmental education, and promote collaboration between NGOs and the academic community.

NCKU’s Bioluminescent Plant Biotechnology Local Revitalization Team and Field Site Became a Member of the UN “International Partnership for Satoyama Initiative” in February 2024.
NCKU’s Biotechnology Team joined the United Nations' “International Partnership for Satoyama Initiative" (IPSI), integrating local revitalization with environmental education to promote ecological conservation and community sustainability. Students participate in ecological monitoring and educational activities, deepening their understanding and practical skills in climate and biodiversity issues.

NCKU Develops Bioluminescent Anthuriums to Implement the Satoyama Initiative
NCKU developed bioluminescent anthuriums based on the Satoyama Initiative concept, using them for environmental education and community science outreach activities. Students participate in plant research and exhibitions, learning ecological sustainability management and gaining practical understanding of climate action, low-carbon technologies, and environmental protection, thereby promoting collaboration between academic research and society.

NCKU has collaborated with local agricultural and forestry practitioners to offer courses on "On The Mountain and By The Sea-Program And Practice." These courses integrate guidance from cross-disciplinary professionals, helping students understand natural resources both on and off campus, while brainstorming ways to address existing environmental issues, promote sustainable agriculture, and market local specialties.
