To promote the conservation and sustainable use of marine ecosystems, NCKU provides education on freshwater ecosystems, irrigation practices, and water resource management. Key activities in 2023 include:
1. Taiwan-UK Collaborative Research Program
This project, focused on groundwater resources under climate change, aims to share knowledge and enhance research to address groundwater drought challenges faced by Taiwan and the UK.
2. Disaster Prevention Technology and Management Program
Established in 2011, this interdisciplinary program equips students with the knowledge and skills to manage disasters and develop preventive strategies.
3. 2023 NCKU Global Water Resources Governance Camp
Participants learned about water resource management and global policies.
4. 2023 Coastal Environment Planning Participatory Workshop
This workshop engaged diverse participants to explore the complexities of coastal environment issues and the role of civic participation in planning.

As interest in net-zero carbon grows, we promote wetland education through school programs, community workshops, and eco-tourism, highlighting their ecological importance.
