Since 2016, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) has integrated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its institutional development, promoting international dialogue and sustainability awareness. To reinforce these efforts, the university offers annual training on environmental and social topics, encouraging participation from faculty, staff, and students to enhance sustainability knowledge and practice.
In 2025, all active employees are required to complete 15 hours of mandatory digital training(Government employees must complete 20 hours ). The curriculum covers "Occupational Safety and Health Education," "Gender Equality," "Major Government Policies," "Environmental Education," "Democratic Governance Values," "Artificial Intelligence," "Integrity and Service Ethics," "Human Rights Education," "Transitional Justice," "Administrative Neutrality," "Multi-ethnic Culture," and "Civic Participation."
The remaining hours may be freely allocated to courses related to specific job functions to further professional development and promote sustainable education initiatives.

Environmental Sustainability Training
- To enhance environmental literacy among faculty, staff, and students, NCKU has developed a diverse range of specialized courses covering topics such as biodiversity, energy conservation and carbon reduction, climate change, disaster prevention and mitigation, and nature conservation.
- In2025, a total of 204 courses were offered, with a cumulative training duration of 395.5 hours, and 2,409 person-times completing the training.
- In the social dimension, NCKU has developed courses on gender equality, cultural preservation, community engagement, integrity and service ethics, legal education, human rights education, multiculturalism, and academic ethics.
- In 2025, a total of 528 courses were offered, with a cumulative training duration of 984.5 hours, and 6,605 person-times completing the training.
