In 2023, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) initiated collaborations with local, national, and global health institutions to enhance health and well-being outcomes.
NCKU Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding with India’s Yashoda Super Specialty Hospitals to facilitate personnel exchanges, training, and collaboration on medical equipment. Additionally, NCKU's College of Medicine partnered with the National Health Research Institutes to deepen cooperation in biomedical research, focusing on areas like cancer and infectious diseases, with plans to expand into clinical care, regenerative medicine, and more.
NCKU is working with the Tainan City Government to develop Shalun Hospital, creating a local healthcare network and a children’s medical center, aiming to integrate precision medicine and infectious disease prevention.
NCKU Hospital is also launching a remote palliative care project, combining smart wearable technologies and non-invasive monitoring to provide comprehensive care for patients and families.
At the same time, NCKU has also conducted academic research and technology exchanges with Japan, Thailand, Singapore and other countries.Through these efforts, NCKU actively utilizes its resources and expertise to contribute to the health and well-being of communities, cities, and the world.
