- NCKU Atelier Future Teams Up with Bank SinoPac to Promote Rural Education
Hosted by NCKU Atelier Future and sponsored by Bank SinoPac, the Formula Racing Team Science Education Camp took place from August 6 to 8 in Tainan’s Nanshi District and at the NCKU campus. Marking the team's first self-initiated rural science outreach since its 2018 founding, the event combined racing expertise with STEM education to inspire local elementary school students. Children engaged in hands-on activities, culminating in an autonomous car racing experience on a simulated track. On March 15th, National Cheng Kung University hosted the "2025 NCKU World Cultural & Food Festival," organized by the Office of International Affairs, Overseas Student and Scholar Services Division. The event brought together overseas students from countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Malaysia to showcase traditional delicacies and handmade crafts. Featured items included Indonesian Mie Goreng, Vietnamese Bánh Mì, Thai Milk Tea, and tote bags. Students expressed hope for more events promoting international cultural exchange on campus.

To demonstrate respect for multiculturalism and ethnic beliefs, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) approved amendments to its Student Leave Regulations in the second semester of the 113th academic year, officially introducing "Traditional Festival Leave" and "Multicultural Leave". "Traditional Festival Leave" enables Indigenous students to participate in vital seasonal rituals and ceremonies, honoring cultural heritage and identity. Meanwhile, "Multicultural Leave" allows both international and domestic students to observe significant religious or cultural events from their home countries or groups. This policy initiative offers institutional support to promote cultural equality and educational inclusivity across the university campus.

On June 15, 2025, YongLin Hope Elementary School (NCKU Branch) celebrated its 15th Joint Graduation Ceremony at Cingcao Elementary School, honoring 42 graduates alongside teachers and families. The event featured energetic performances by the Cingcao Elementary Drum Dance Troupe and the Tucheng Elementary Violin Club. Alumni from previous graduating classes (1st, 4th, 8th, and 11th) sent heartfelt video blessings to their juniors. Expressing deep gratitude, graduates presented handcrafted floating oil flower pens to their teachers, symbolizing bright futures. Overall, the heartwarming ceremony created lasting memories and joyfully marked the beginning of a new chapter for everyone present.
- “Painting Our Story, Saying Our Name – Siraya Participatory Curation” 16 Young Curators Share Their Stories Through Songs and Art
The exhibition "Painting Our Story, Saying Our Name – Siraya Participatory Curation" was created by 16 students from Muh-Jan Elementary School and held at Good Days Gallery in Tainan. Acting as artists and junior curators, the students performed the Siraya-language song "Beautiful Forest"—a top prize winner at the Kaohsiung Indigenous Music Competition—and created an immersive setting inspired by it. Initiated by Yi-Xuan Huang, a graduate student at NCKU, the project offers a pure, heartfelt portrayal of local culture rooted in everyday life.- YingYing × Angel Heart × Tainan City Social Affairs Bureau Multi-Sensory Therapy Classroom — Promoting Sensory Education and Strengthening Parent-Child Interaction

- Taiwan Science Popularization Train Tainan Station – A Fun Science Day at NCKU for Kids and Adults Alike
The Taiwan Science Popularization Train stopped at Tainan Station during its six-day island-wide tour, bringing together nearly 300 students from 10 schools at NCKU. High school students hosted interactive booths to make science accessible and spark curiosity among younger learners. Highlights included National Nanke International Experimental High School's automated robot, which demonstrated marine environmental protection themes from the FRC competition.
- From Classroom to the World: NCKU Teacher Education Center’s 60-Day Overseas Internship Program Opens a New Chapter of Cultural Dialogue at the Taiwan School in Jakarta, Indonesia
National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) sent four teacher candidates to the Jakarta Taipei School for a 60-day internship focused on multiculturalism and bilingual education. The program offered hands-on experience with the school's trilingual curriculum (Chinese, English, and Indonesian) and diverse student body. Interns introduced Taiwanese traditions through Mid-Autumn Festival lessons and a toy festival, while observing local language instruction and exploring Indonesian heritage—including volcanic sites and puppet museums—to enhance their cross-cultural teaching skills and global perspectives.
