NCKU’s support for Low or lower-middle income countries student-國立成功大學永續發展SDGs

As an institute for higher education, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) actively adheres to the international standards. In addition to encouraging local students to broaden horizons abroad, NCKU welcomes foreign students to join NCKU from various countries, regardless of their background. As for students from low-income countries, NCKU supports them by offering various schemes of scholarship.

 

To promote campus internationalization and integrate resources, NCKU established the Distinguished Students Scholarship. This scholarship encourages outstanding international students to pursue advanced studies at NCKU. By providing financial support, the program removes barriers to education and allows students from diverse backgrounds to study with peace of mind.


 

Established in 2019, the Veritas et Conscientia Scholarship aims to alleviate the financial burden for international students pursuing doctoral degrees in Taiwan. In addition to tuition and miscellaneous fee waivers, as well as free on-campus housing, awardees also receive a monthly living allowance. 



 

In response to the government’s “New Southbound Policy” and to foster outstanding Vietnamese talent studying in Taiwan, NCKU partnered with Golden Win Steel Industrial Corp. to establish the NCKU x Golden Win Taiwan–Vietnam Talent Cultivation Scholarship. The scholarship is specifically designed for Vietnamese students enrolled at NCKU, providing support to two outstanding students each semester to help them complete higher education in Taiwan and give back to society

 

The NCKU SinoPac Bank Scholarship consists of two categories: the Outstanding Talent Scholarship and the Financial Aid Grant. Open to students of all nationalities and disciplines, the program not only recognizes academic excellence but also supports students facing financial difficulties, offering them crucial assistance in their educational journey.
