1. NCKU excels in promoting cutting-edge low-carbon technologies by showcasing professors' advanced expertise. This fosters collaboration between startups and public institutions, facilitating technology transfer and practical applications.
2. NCKU's Industry-Academia Innovation Center provides diverse innovation resources, such as training workshops and startup incubation programs. One notable example is our collaboration with C.C Sustainable ESG solution Co., Ltd. Their core focus lies in addressing ESG challenges, emphasizing carbon risk management and carbon footprint assessment.
3. NCKU collaborates with external organizations to jointly offer ESG training programs. These programs provide students with a high-quality learning platform, inspiring them to acquire knowledge about future low-carbon trends.
4. NCKU and PIDA co-hosted an event highlighting the growing importance of ESG in industry and social development. NCKU showcased cutting-edge technologies like waste circular economy, carbon capture, and heat recovery.
5. The NCKU Innovation Dream-Building Project, now in its sixth year, has supported 167 teams with nearly NT$16 million, helping 15 teams start new companies and securing NT$65 million in grants. This year, 31 teams were selected from 47 proposals, with a 65% acceptance rate and nearly NT$2 million in funding.
6. NCKU's "Carbon Neutral Industry Talent and Technology Base" accelerates carbon reduction technology development and provides a testing platform for companies. It also promotes carbon capture education, fostering future talent.
7. NCKU students organized the "Sustainable Empty Life Festival," calculating carbon emissions and achieving net-zero through plant-based meals and canvas reuse. Partnering with international organizations like 350 Taiwan and SDSN Taiwan, they supported the "G7 Global Citizen Initiative" to drive sustainable action.
