NCKU’s assistance to low-carbon innovation
Within the University, the NCKU Innovative Dream Fulfillment Program provides essential seed funding and mentorship from industry experts. Through its Systematic Innovation Training Workshop, NCKU equips teams with practical skills to transform sustainability concepts into viable business models, positioning the University as a key incubator for startups. To accelerate the commercialization of research outcomes, NCKU has also established the Carbon Neutral Next-Gen Incubation Hub to help bring innovative technologies from laboratories into industrial applications and new ventures. In addition, NCKU has integrated resources in entrepreneurship mentoring, technology development, and industry partnerships to jointly establish the Cheng-Chyun Business Growth Platform with the Giant Group. The platform helps companies with strong sales potential mitigate operational, intellectual property, regulatory, and investment risks.
NCKU also extends its capabilities to industrial services. Through technology transfer, the University has supported the establishment of C.C Sustainable ESG solution Co., Ltd., a specialized company providing consulting services to businesses in areas such as energy management and net-zero transition planning. Furthermore, NCKU co-hosted the Net-Zero Technology and Industrial Sustainability Summit with the Ministry of Environment and the Executive Yuan’s Office of Energy and Carbon Reduction, bringing together participants from government, industry, academia, and research institutions to exchange insights on net-zero technologies and industrial sustainability.
Through this diverse and systematic support framework, NCKU provides comprehensive, practical assistance to the development of low-carbon startups.
- Systematic Innovation Training Workshop
To cultivate sustainability-focused innovators with practical skills, the NCKU IHQ Startup Accelerator offers a Systematic Startup Training Workshop, providing a complete pathway from ideation to market validation through issue-focused hackathons, startup bootcamps, and market validation workshops. NCKU’s Innovation Dream Fulfillment Program encourages faculty and students to identify real-world problems, form startup teams, and turn ideas into practical solutions. - C.C Sustainable ESG solution Co., Ltd.
To fulfill its social responsibility and support industry’s low-carbon transition, NCKU established C.C Sustainable ESG solution Co., Ltd. through technology transfer via its Research and Development Foundation. Combining NCKU’s research capabilities with industry expertise, the company provides integrated services in carbon risk management, energy and resource management, and ESG. - Cheng-Chyun Business Growth Platform
The platform is jointly promoted by the NCKU IHQ Startup Accelerator and the Giant Group, combining NCKU’s resources in entrepreneurship support, technology development, and industry connections with Giant Group’s expertise in patent strategy, regulatory pathways, capital investment, and market access. - Towards Carbon Neutrality: Green Industry, Low-Carbon Technology, and Talent Cultivation and Application
