In accordance with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Gender Equity Education Implementation Guidelines, NCKU fairly treats students in aspects including admission, education, assessment and benefits, regardless of sex, sexual tendency, gender traits, or gender identities.
Support for Pregnant and Nursing Students and Promotion of Gender Equality
In the meantime, NCKU provides comprehensive support for female students who are pregnant or nursing children under the age of three. Students who take leave for these reasons are treated with understanding and respect. Related counseling services are offered by the Health Center, the Counseling and Wellness Service Division, and the Gender Equality Education Committee. In addition, the NCKU Gender Equality Education Committee actively promotes gender equality through public lectures, film festivals, and other awareness-raising activities.
