Policy for women applications and entry

In accordance with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Gender Equity Education Implementation Guidelines, NCKU fairly treats students in aspects including admission, education, assessment and benefits, regardless of sex, sexual tendency, gender traits, or gender identities.

Support for Pregnant and Nursing Students and Promotion of Gender Equality
In the meantime, NCKU provides comprehensive support for female students who are pregnant or nursing children under the age of three. Students who take leave for these reasons are treated with understanding and respect. Related counseling services are offered by the Health Center, the Counseling and Wellness Service Division, and the Gender Equality Education Committee. In addition, the NCKU Gender Equality Education Committee actively promotes gender equality through public lectures, film festivals, and other awareness-raising activities.
 
  1. NCKU Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Non-Discrimination
NCKU has implemented relevant regulations and established a Gender Equality Education Committee to address various aspects of gender equality. The responsibilities of the Gender Equality Education Committee include planning and establishing a safe campus space for gender equality, integrating relevant resources from various units within the university, formulating implementation plans for gender equality education, and ensuring its implementation outcomes.







 

  1. Declaration at the Bottom of the NCKU Admissions Webpage  
National Cheng Kung University Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Non-Discrimination and the declaration stated on the bottom of our admissions page says,  "All the admissions in NCKU are conducted in the principles of equity, fairness, and openness. There is no discrimination of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, disability, skin color, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or immigration status." NCKU treats all applicants equally regardless of gender.

 




 

  1. NCKU Gender Equity Education Committee: Gender Equity-Related Regulations of NCKU
NCKU has implemented relevant regulations and established a Gender Equality Education Committee to address various aspects of gender equality.   1. NCKU Measures for the Protection of Maternal Health  
With a view to safeguarding women's health and employment rights in the workplace, National Cheng Kung University has established the Measures for the Protection of Maternal Health. These measures provide support and protection for physiological needs such as pregnancy and breastfeeding. They not only foster a friendly and inclusive working environment but also reflect the university's commitment to gender equality and the employment rights of women.
