To encourage female researchers in academia, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) has established various funding programs, such as the "Taiwan Outstanding Female Scientist Award" and "Meng Chui-Chu Scholarship," offering grants between NT$80,000 and NT$600,000.
The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is also launching a project to solicit proposals for "Encouraging Women in Scientific and Technological Research" to support women in pursuing careers in these fields.
Additionally, NCKU, in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan - Low Carbon Initiative (ECCT-LCI), hosted the "2023 SOFT POWER Female Leadership Talk on ESG," bringing together eight female leaders to discuss sustainability. Together, they signed the "2023 Women's Leadership Sustainability Declaration," aiming to foster women's contributions to sustainable economic growth.
