- To safeguard the housing needs of students with disabilities, NCKU offers a designated bed application service to help eligible students obtain suitable accommodation. Through coordination by the housing services team, ongoing living support is provided, enabling students to study and live on campus with confidence and peace of mind.
Financial Assistance:Diverse Subsidies to Ease Educational Burdens
- NCKU has established a Resource Classroom to provide professional support in accordance with the Special Education Act, helping students adapt to the learning environment while enhancing communication with parents, faculty, and administrative units.
- The Special Education Implementation Committee is responsible for reviewing and overseeing special education programs, offering academic planning, psychological counseling, and life guidance tailored to students’ needs to ensure they receive appropriate services.
Employment Equality:Inclusive Workplace and Workforce Support
- In accordance with the “People with Disabilities Rights Protection Act,” NCKU actively promotes the Talent Pool System of People with Disabilities, offering diverse employment opportunities and Workplace Resources to help faculty and staff overcome work-related challenges. This initiative fosters equal participation and a supportive, inclusive work environment.
- Currently, NCKU employs 224 faculty and staff members with disabilities, accounting for 4.1% of the total workforce—well above the legal requirement of 3%. We will continue to enhance workplace accessibility and inclusivity.
