National Cheng Kung University's Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering celebrated its 70th anniversary with an alumni homecoming event at Ge-Chi Hall. NCKU President Meng-Ru Shen delivered a speech highlighting the department's longstanding legacy and pivotal role in Taiwan’s water resources and marine development. Over seven decades, the department has cultivated top-tier engineering talent, contributing significantly to national infrastructure, coastal management, and water security. Looking ahead, the department remains committed to advancing sustainable development, driving ocean technology innovation, and strengthening Taiwan's water and marine expertise for future generations.
