NCKU's policy of non-discrimination against women

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is committed to fostering a gender-friendly and diverse campus through regulations and initiatives, including continuing education programs. This ensures that faculty, staff, and students, regardless of gender, religion, or race, enjoy equal opportunities and rights.

 
  1. NCKU Statement on Diversity, Equity and Non-Discrimination
NCKU devotes itself to creating a campus environment that
ensures individual dignity, adopts a zero-tolerance policy toward any illegal infringement of rights in the workplace, and prohibits any discrimination or harassment at work. The NCKU Antidiscrimination and Gender Equality Policy (hereafter “the Policy”) is thus established to ensure that all NCKU faculty and staff members receive appropriate respect and equal treatment.







 
  1. NCKU Gender Equity Education Implementation Guidelines
According to the NCKU Gender Equity Education Implementation Guidelines (first established in 2012 and most recently amended in 2020), students are not treated differently in admissions, enrollment, teaching, assessment, or welfare on the basis of their biological sex, sexual orientation, gender traits, or gender identity.







 
  1. NCKU Directions for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace and Gender Discrimination
To prevent workplace sexual harassment and gender discrimination, NCKU strives to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment. Through institutionalized preventive measures and accessible complaint mechanisms, the university safeguards the dignity and rights of faculty and staff, protecting them from sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination.







 
  1. NCKU Regulations on the Prevention of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Bullying on Campus
In order to implement the educational concept of substantive gender equality, NCKU has established preventive measures and handling mechanisms for sexual assault, sexual harassment, and sexual bullying on campus.








 
  1. NCKU Disciplinary Directives for Gender-Related Incidents on Campus

In order to encourage perpetrators of campus gender incidents to cooperate in receiving psychological counseling or related treatment, NCKU has formulated these key points in accordance with the second paragraph of Section 25 of the Gender Equality Education Act.










 
  1. NCKU Cheng Kung Deep Cultivation Award Subsidy Guidelines - Regulations Related to the Rights of Pregnant Students
​​​​​All units of NCKU actively protect the educational rights of pregnant students and provide the necessary support and assistance, as outlined in the Cheng Kung Deep Cultivation Award Subsidy Guidelines.
