NCKU’s Maternity and Paternity Policies

Maternal Health Policies Since 2016
Since 2016, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) has actively promoted the NCKU Measures for Protecting and Managing Maternal Health. Detailed regulations for maternity and paternity leave have been established to provide comprehensive support for female employees, ensuring a family-friendly and supportive working environment.

Flexible Leave and Work Arrangements
The regulations include leave for pregnancy, maternity, parenting, and menstruation. Additionally, working hours around the leave can be flexibly adjusted, with salary and benefits maintained.

Supportive Facilities for Work–Life Balance
NCKU provides nursery rooms, a non-profit kindergarten, and reserved parking for women, creating a supportive work environment that helps employees balance professional responsibilities with family life.
  1. NCKU Measures for Protecting and Managing Maternal Health
Since 2016, NCKU has been actively promoting NCKU Measures for Protecting and Managing Maternal Health. Detailed regulations for maternity and paternity leave have been established to provide comprehensive support for female employees, ensuring a friendly parenting and working environment.

Moreover, through the establishment of nursery rooms, the sanitary pad (tissue) vending machine, the non-profit kindergarten, and reserved parking for women, NCKU creates a friendly working environment for employees to strike the balance between working and family responsibilities.

The regulations include leaves for pregnancy, maternity, parenting, and menstrual. 











 
  1. NCKU’s leave list for employees subject to the Labor Standards Act  
In addition, working hours around the leave can be flexibly adjusted, and the compensation will be preserved.














 
  1. NCKU Regulations for Student Leave of Absence  
In addition to female staff, NCKU also provides maternity leave for students, safeguarding the rights of female students.
