National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) strives to practice equality and anti-discrimination. Besides those, NCKU also strictly follows “Gender Equity Education Act” and “Regulations on the Prevention of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Bullying on Campus” from the Ministry of Education to protect faculty and students from sexual abuse, harassment, or bullying. NCKU has established several policies to prevent gender discrimination and harassment on campus:
NCKU Gender Equity Education Implementation Guidelines
NCKU strives to create a gender-equitable learning environment where faculty, staff, and students respect and consider differences in gender, gender traits, gender identity, and sexual orientation during academic activities, duties, and interactions, ensuring a safe campus environment.
NCKU Regulations on the Prevention of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Bullying on Campus
The university has established mechanisms for the prevention and handling of sexual assault, harassment, and bullying cases to uphold the principles of gender equality in education.
NCKU Directions for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
To protect the rights of faculty and staff, NCKU provides a workplace free from sexual harassment. In the event of workplace harassment, immediate and effective corrective and remedial measures are taken, with follow-up to ensure the effectiveness of disciplinary actions or measures.
