According to “Gender Equity Education Act’', National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) established a Gender Equity Education Committee which takes responsibilities to handle in-school sexual harassment and abuses, provide counseling resources and information to protect students who are pregnant or LGBT, and assist in the arrangement for speeches and general courses which promote sexual equality. NCKU is dedicated to creating the education environment without gender discrimination, and creating a gender-friendly and harmonious campus.
Furthermore, NCKU has founded the Gender and Women's Studies Center, which actively promotes interdisciplinary research on gender and women's issues, advancing gender equality and gender mainstreaming in both the university and society. NCKU also works to raise awareness of gender inclusivity, ensuring the protection of the rights of marginalized groups in both the workplace and the campus.
