To encourage local startup companies, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)'s Innovation Headquarters organizes various events every year for both on-campus and off-campus entrepreneurial teams:
- Directions of NCKU Innovative Enterprise
This initiative, starting from 2019, aims to encourage faculty, staff, and students at our university to utilize the resources available within the university during their tenure, develop research-based technologies or specialized knowledge, and establish new startup ventures. The goal is to foster the development of the technology industry and promote entrepreneurship.- 2024 Innovation Demo Day
The 2024 Innovation Demo Day brought together research teams from NCKU and partner universities to showcase nearly 60 academic and startup achievements. Highlights included university spinoffs, scientific breakthroughs, and projects from the Dream-Building Teams. Twenty-eight teams from the NCKU Innovative Dream Fulfillment Program presented their journey from ideas to prototypes, while seven outstanding teams conducted public Demo Pitches to attract investment and collaboration. The event combined research showcases, resource matchmaking, and industry-academia connections, creating a dynamic platform for exchange and collaboration.- NCKU Innovative Dream Fulfillment Program
In order to encourage the development of local startup companies and their entrepreneurial ventures, NCKU Innovation Headquarters have been organizing the "Innovative Dream Fulfillment Program" since 2018. This program is open to both on-campus and off-campus startup teams, providing financial assistance and opportunities to participate in a wealth of courses, thus allowing these teams to transform their ideas into reality.
