NCKU’s employment practice living wage

NCKU is committed to creating a good working environment that emphasizes equality and opposes any form of discrimination. Gender, race, language, religion, party affiliation, place of residence, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, and disability are prohibited as conditions of recruitment and promotion following the “National Cheng Kung University Regulations- Recruiting Policies on Anti-discrimination”.

To this end, NCKU has formulated various employment policies to prevent discrimination in the workplace. Specifically, NCKU established the Gender Equity Education Committee, which aims to promote gender equality and create a gender-friendly campus. The committee is divided into four working groups, including administration, education, prevention, and campus safety. If employees face gender discrimination, they can appeal to the committee. In addition, to prevent employees from being illegally violated by employers, supervisors, colleagues, clients, or other third parties in the workplace, NCKU has formulated the “National Cheng Kung University Guidelines for Prevention and Management of Illegal Infringements in Performing Duties” to protect employees from employment discrimination and other violations human rights behavior.

  1. National Cheng Kung University Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Workplace Sexual Harassment and Gender Discrimination
 
In addition, to prevent employees from being illegally violated by employers, supervisors, colleagues, clients, or other third parties in the workplace, NCKU has formulated the “ Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Workplace Sexual Harassment and Gender Discrimination” to protect employees from employment discrimination and other violations human rights behavior.









 
  1. National Cheng Kung University Guidelines for the Establishment of Gender Equity Education Committee
 
The National Cheng Kung University Guidelines for the Establishment of the Gender Equity Education Committee are formulated under the Gender Equity Education Act to promote gender equality, prevent discrimination, and foster a safe and harmonious campus environment. The Committee comprises 21 members including the president, administrators, faculty, staff, students, and a parent, and is required to convene at least once per semester. It is divided into four working groups—administrative, education, prevention, and campus safety—responsible for policy review, curriculum design, preventing gender-based violations, and improving campus safety facilities.
