"Green Sight" Art Exhibition Debuts at NCKU Magic School of Green Technologies, Partnering with Wesley Girls' High School-國立成功大學永續發展SDGs

As the concepts of net-zero environments and sustainable architecture gradually take root and gain increasing emphasis across various fields, the Magic School of Green Technologies under the College of Planning and Design at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) carries the promotion of green building, energy-saving technology, and net-zero built environments. In response to environmental sustainability and to expand the awareness and experience of the general public regarding "green" in everyday living environments, the "Green Sight" Independent Painting and Life Photo Exhibition is held from July 27 to August 7, 2026, in the 1st-floor permanent exhibition area of the Magic School of Green Technologies. Partnering with Class 3-Xin from the Senior High Department of Taipei Wesley Girls' High School, the Magic School of Green Technologies provides the venue for the exhibition. The goal is to display basic living and green environment perceptions, encouraging youth to diversely experience and observe greenness in their living environment while promoting basic green building education.


The full name of the Magic School of Green Technologies is the Sun Yun-Suan Green Building Research Center, constructed through donations from Mr. Bruce Cheng, Founder and Honorary Chairman of Delta Electronics, alongside NCKU's self-raised funds. It was recognized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as one of seven iconic low-carbon buildings worldwide. NCKU has actively undertaken various green energy-saving research initiatives and expanded science popularization education, helping more people understand green environments and energy conservation. Beyond technical and professional knowledge exchanges, popularizing green building and green life science to the wider public is a major goal of the College of Planning and Design. Partnering with Taipei Wesley Girls' High School this summer, the "Green Sight" Creative Paintings and Life Experience Photos Exhibition presents youth-level records of environmental observations and lived experiences. The artworks reveal students' everyday inspirational ecosystem paintings and observational reflections on daily architecture, highly aligning with the core mission of the Magic School of Green Technologies in promoting and popularizing a green society. As a self-demonstration by high school youth, it serves as a summer exhibition combining both educational significance and architectural sustainability spirits.


The exhibition presents original manuscript creations paired with painting and photo layouts to show students' personal insights into green environments. Taking the influential National Cheng Kung University as the initial southern venue, the exhibition will move to a public exhibition hall in Taipei in September for its second run. The overall exhibition was co-curated by students Hsiao-Hsuan Pan and Yung-Ching Lin from Class 3-Xin of Taipei Wesley Girls' High School, alongside participating co-exhibitors Yen-Ting Chou and Ching-Rong Chen. The on-site setup was independently completed by student Hsiao-Hsuan Pan. This exhibition is not only an expansion and rooting of green environmental education, but also marks the first time the Magic School of Green Technologies has hosted non-professional and youth group exhibitors, carrying symbolic significance. The "Green Sight" exhibition runs from July 27 to August 7, 2026, located in the 1st-floor independent exhibition space of the Magic School of Green Technologies, with opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 17:00 daily (closed Mondays). Members of the public are cordially invited to step into the Magic School of Green Technologies to see the greenness in daily life through the eyes of youth creators and experience the beauty and power embedded in environmental sustainability and green living.
