"Medical Frontiers: NCKU Biomedical Research" Book Launch – Showcasing NCKU's Medical School Growth.
The book launch for Medical Frontiers: NCKU Biomedical Research was held on October 4 to showcase the significant achievements of the NCKU Medical School, which has made many groundbreaking contributions over its 40 years. The book presents the diversity and highlights of the school’s research and reflects on how medical humanities have taken root, grown, and thrived within the institution.
NCKU Medical School Dean, Dr. Yan Sheng Shen, expressed his gratitude to Professor Bei Chang Yang for transforming complex, hard-to-understand research into an engaging and accessible narrative. He also acknowledged the continuous efforts of faculty and students in advancing medical research and pushing it toward clinical applications.
The book series, published over three years, highlights various research fields within both basic and clinical medicine, with a focus on mental health, geriatric medicine, neuroscience, and healthcare. By interviewing researchers and incorporating multimedia elements, it provides a deeper, more relatable understanding of the research process. The goal is to inspire new ideas and innovation through accessible medical research.
