Kun Shan University and NCKU's College of Semiconductor signed an MOU for collaboration in teaching and research development
To foster semiconductor talent, Kun Shan University and the College of Smart Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on November 12 at Kun Shan University’s International Conference Hall. The signing ceremony was attended by Kun Shan University President Tian-Xiang Li and NCKU's College Dean Su Yankun, marking the start of cross-institutional collaboration to develop semiconductor talent.
President Li emphasized that the MOU represents the beginning of a strong partnership between the two universities, combining Kun Shan University’s focus on practical skills with NCKU’s strengths in research and advanced talent development, which will help meet the industry's demand for skilled semiconductor professionals.
Dean Su, who had served as president of Kun Shan University for 11 years, highlighted the potential to leverage resources from both institutions to boost research and international collaborations, enhancing competitiveness in industry-academic research.
The collaboration also includes Kun Shan University’s plan to establish departments related to semiconductors and electric vehicles in response to industry trends, with NCKU providing support in teaching and research. Both institutions aim for long-term, practical cooperation to drive innovation and development in Taiwan’s semiconductor and related industries.
