Breaking Through the Talent Shortage, Nearly 10,000 People Flocked to NCKU to Participate in the 2023 Southern Taiwan Job Fair
The largest job fair in Southern Taiwan, the "2023 South Taiwan Job Fair," took place on March 12 at National Cheng Kung University's Kuang Fu Campus. With 254 companies offering over 14,000 job opportunities, attracting nearly 10,000 job applicants to the event. There were job opportunities from both domestic and overseas and a wide range of job requirements, and the atmosphere was enthusiastic.

Hsin-Ch Wang said that many enterprises mentioned that "we must come to NCKU to grab talents, and we can't miss the job fair of NCKU", which shows that the industry attaches great importance to this job fair. The Southern Taiwan Job Fair was held at NCKU, and the citizens of Tainan City benefited the most. The 2023 Southern Taiwan Job Fair was co-organized by NCKU and 11 colleges and universities in southern Taiwan. 53 job information sessions were held from March 9 to 12, and job applicants registered online in advance to participate regardless of their status or age. For example, Taiwan Cement used an electric car barrier game to let job applicants learn the layout of its renewable energy, electric car battery, green energy and other related industries besides cement through the game.
In order to strengthen the diversity of recruitment, the organizer added the demand for PhD students in addition to local and foreign students on the website to strengthen the layout of employment opportunities for PhD graduates. According to the statistics, there were 172 enterprises with demand for PhD graduates and 162 enterprises with job opportunities for foreign students.
