NCKU and Sungkyunkwan University signed a MOU to advance a sustainable future with net-zero buildings.
To promote sustainable campus development and net-zero buildings, the NCKU College of Planning and Design signed a memorandum of understanding with the College of Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, on August 16. The focus of this exchange is on net-zero buildings, aiming to foster more collaboration in academic research and national policies regarding building energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.
Dean Chien-Hsu Chen, Associate Dean Tzu-Ping Lin, and Professor Yaw-Shyan Tsay from the Department of Architecture at NCKU warmly welcomed Professor Doosam Song from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, along with five researchers and thirteen graduate students. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on net-zero building policies and related research topics in their respective countries. Dean Chien-Hsu Chen, representing the NCKU College of Planning and Design, signed the memorandum of understanding with Sungkyunkwan University.
In his speech, Dean Chien-Hsu Chen emphasized his hope that this memorandum of understanding will pave the way for more extensive exchanges, including in the areas of policy, academic research, and student exchange programs.
