"Liwen Campus Bookstore" NCKU Campus Book Festival Held on the 18th, Featuring Multiple Activities.
《Liwen Campus Bookstore》will be stationed at the 1st floor of the Wang-Hong Building on the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Cheng-Kung Campus starting this year. It will provide book ordering services for NCKU faculty and students, enriching the campus literary atmosphere. In order to actively respond to the Ministry of Culture's Innovative Book Market activities and expand cultural reading for students and the community,《Liwen Campus Bookstore》will hold the "Campus Book Festival" at 8 well-known universities nationwide in April and May. The NCKU event will take place on April 18th from 11 am to 3 pm at the front plaza of Prince Inn, inviting everyone to participate enthusiastically.
《Liwen Campus Bookstore》stated that the purpose of organizing the campus book exhibition is to encourage students to reduce digital reliance, step away from the audio-visual stimulation of digital images, return to paper reading, savor the beauty between the lines, and also support public welfare. The activities include on-demand books, cultural and creative products, thematic book exhibitions, and independent bookstore interview video exhibitions. Booths will be designed with a cultural and artistic atmosphere, aiming to expand student reading and hoping that the event will attract more people to shape the high-quality reading and cultural atmosphere of NCKU.
In response to the event, the Ministry of Culture has arranged for a coffee truck to come to NCKU, providing limited free coffee, hoping to accompany the fragrance of coffee with the fragrance of books, allowing NCKU faculty and students to experience a different book festival. Prince Inn, which has long been committed to promoting cultural and literary activities and book reading, will provide the plaza for free. Rabipel, which assists in the production and sale of special group products, will launch healing cultural and creative small items, allowing the public to do charity while consuming.
In addition to displaying books and cultural and creative products,《Liwen Campus Bookstore》, recommended by the Ministry of Culture, will cooperate with Grand Mount International and collaborate with the NCKU Library to hold a "Wild Stage Reading and Singing" event in the conference hall of the NCKU Library on the same day. They invited nominees for the Golden Melody Awards, Yuan-keng You, the Hokkien song king Ming-yu Hsieh, and the Hokkien song king Chun-chieh Wang to perform the evolution stories of Taiwan's native folk songs, operas, and Taiwanese music in the form of storytelling and singing. They will narrate the history of music nurtured from Taiwan's land. NCKU faculty and students are invited to come and experience the emotions brought by Taiwan's native folk songs, operas, and Taiwanese music melodies.
The Campus Book Festival will also feature a variety of activities, including photo check-ins, exchanging invoices from Liwen Bookstore for cultural and creative gift sets featuring the "Yan-chuan Wei Artist" and "Brave Bear" series currently on display with purchases over NT$300, and "Buy 3 Books, Get 1 Free" promotions. Students and the public are welcome to participate enthusiastically, and cultural currencies can also be used for same-day consumption.
