NCKU Vice President Yu-nu Chen highlighted that transitional justice extends beyond politics to address issues such as the rights of migrant workers, children, stateless individuals, patients, and healthcare. She emphasized the importance of caring for powerless groups, a responsibility of universities like NCKU. The exhibition aims to promote understanding and awareness of human rights and marginalized groups.
Library Director Tzu-fang Fu added that human rights encompass various fields, including education, gender, culture, and digital equity. The library seeks to foster action and advocacy through its resources, providing wisdom and insights that help spread awareness of these critical issues.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the "All-Island Powerless Conference" (1924), continuing the focus on human rights and justice through the arts festival. The exhibition showcases books and films covering diverse topics like children, witch hunts, migrant workers, and patients, amplifying the voices of the powerless. This display of silent written power creates a space for reflection and understanding of human rights.
The exhibition also features materials from NCKU’s History Department performances on witch hunts and human rights, offering a deep dive into historical and contemporary human rights issues. The exhibition runs until October 31, welcoming visitors to explore and reflect on the rights of the powerless.

In her speech, Vice President Yu Nu Chen emphasized that transitional justice does not necessarily have to be solely tied to politics, and there are many other aspects that can be explored.
Director Fu Zifang stated that in order to heal a wounded society, it is essential to take concrete action, offering a helping hand or speaking out for those in need, as this has become the most important task.
This book exhibition combines both depth and breadth, showcasing a variety of books and films from different perspectives, allowing the powerless to be better known to the public.
