National Cheng Kung University Hospital has cooperated with Kenya to establish Health and medical cooperation program in Africa since 2007, sending volunteer doctors to give lectures, and has trained 50 medical personnel. The personnel help conduct hemodialysis for local patients and lower the possibility of dying of inflammation so that the quality of lives is improved. From disaster prevention and health education of the public, to the arrangement of operative demonstration in Kenyatta National Hospital cardiovascular surgery division, and the training of hemodialysis.

In terms of research aspects, in order to promote the aerospace industry in Taiwan, the president of NCKU, Dr. Huey-Jen Jenny Su, signed the agreement with The Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), to open a joint research center for aerospace technology innovation as the cooperation platform, which can assist talents in nurturing integrated systems. Not only does the program strengthen the efficiency of industry-academia collaboration, but boost the upgrade of the aerospace industry in Taiwan. In the meantime, in the disease prevention aspect, NCKU collaborates with Bank SinoPac and establishes Atelier Future, which can be viewed as the presentation of the results of the collaboration. In addition, NCKU announced the Quarantine unit for recovery Emergency and Ecology (QurE), to the globe. QurE can help provide a medical environment with safety, health, and high quality during the covid-19 pandemic. From the design concept to the building process, the data is completely available to be downloaded on the website.

On the other hand, in the education aspect, NCKU established ShalunCity, which focuses on Wise Information Technology of med (WITMED), Circular Economy, Intelligent Transportation, Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction. Moreover, NCKU initiates a platform and committee for promoting ShalunCity, which helps institute the goals and implementation process, and acts as the bridge between NCKU and the government. Chen Chi-Mai, Premier of Executive Yuan, indicated that the Executive Yuan is willing to support NCKU in the operation of ShalunCity with all-out efforts.
