Thai Higher Education Delegation Visits National Cheng Kung University to Strengthen Taiwan–Thailand Academic Collaboration

A Thai higher education delegation visited National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) on November 27, 2025, to strengthen academic cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand. Hosted by the Office of International Affairs, the meeting featured discussions on student mobility, dual-degree programs, and innovative educational initiatives.
The visit opened with welcoming remarks from the Associate Vice President for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Wei-Shiun Chang, followed by greetings from Assistant to the President for Internationalization Prof. Hong-Ming Kuo King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). Both sides exchanged commemorative gifts before Associate Vice President Chang introduced NCKU’s development and the INTENSE Program, highlighting the university’s efforts in cultivating global talent.
Prof. Shu-Ying Wang provided an overview of NCKU–Thailand student exchange achievements, and Ms. Nina Fu presented ongoing dual-degree collaborations. A discussion session allowed participants to explore future cooperation in areas such as student exchange, joint research, and interdisciplinary programs.
The delegation later toured the campus to learn more about NCKU’s academic environment. The visit concluded with a luncheon at the Shangri-La Hotel, marking a successful exchange that further solidifies Taiwan–Thailand higher education ties.
