NCKU Alliance promoted Nlearning digital courses at an Indonesian university, sparking fruitful exchanges.
The NCKU Alliance for Advancement of Digital Learning and Innovation, formed under the "Ministry of Education's University Alliance for Deepening Digital Learning Promotion and Innovative Application Project," led by Director Jhy-Wei Shin from the NCKU Continuing Education Center along with partner school I-Shou University, visited Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and the Indonesia Taiwan Center from August 8th to 11th. They held two workshops on "How to Integrate Digital Courses into Traditional University Curriculum through Blended Teaching Design Thinking" and one workshop on "How High School Teachers Can Integrate STEAM Education Spirit and Conduct Cross-disciplinary Teaching Design Thinking." These workshops aimed to assist teachers in systematically integrating digital courses into traditional teaching, thereby achieving the goal of innovation and flipped teaching. A total of 154 Indonesian university and high school teachers attended the three workshops, with fruitful exchanges and outcomes.
During the visit, on August 8th, there was a joint discussion with the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sebelas Maret to set future work schedules for the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and deepen existing cooperation while expanding collaboration in various areas. On August 9th, at UNS, Director Jhy-Wei Shin shared teaching design thinking methods for integrating digital course design into physical classrooms using interdisciplinary thinking and design thinking patterns.
On August 10th, at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Director Jhy-Wei Shin spoke on "How High School Teachers Can Integrate STEAM Education Spirit and Conduct Cross-disciplinary Teaching Design Thinking," promoting cross-disciplinary teaching, innovation, and academic exchanges, and encouraging high school students to study at NCKU. On August 11th, the NCKU Alliance delegation visited the International Office of Universitas Gadjah Mada and the Indonesia Taiwan Center. Professors Wen-Chin Huang and Yu-Chi Wang from I-Shou University conducted a workshop on "How to Integrate Digital Courses into Traditional University Curriculum through Blended Teaching Design Thinking."
Throughout the four-day visit, the NCKU Alliance aimed to fully integrate its series of digital courses into local physical curricula through knowledge exchange, collaborative sharing, and innovative teaching methods, thereby helping Indonesian universities and high schools improve teaching quality and effectiveness. This visit also served to promote digital courses and deepen collaboration with the Indonesian academic community.
