NCKU College of Management “Corporate AI Digital Transformation Forum” to Be Held on May 15 – Registration Now Open
“Challenges and Opportunities of Corporate AI Digital Transformation Forum (企業 AI 數位轉型的挑戰與契機論壇)” will take place on May 15 at the Kuang-Fu Campus of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). To bridge the gap between policy and practice, the forum will focus on “AI governance and evaluation” and “AI technology implementation.” Featuring speakers from government, industry, and academia, the event will offer in-depth discussions on real-world industry practice, policy foresight, and technological applications. Participants from all sectors are warmly invited to register and join in building interdisciplinary knowledge. The agenda is available on the event website. Registration closes on Friday, May 8.
The forum is organized by the Industry-Academia Collaboration and Development Center of the College of Management, NCKU, and co-organized by the Tainan Association of Business Executives. The organizers stated that the purpose of the forum is to implement the university’s vision of “understanding, evaluating, and co-growing with AI,” actively promoting AI-driven industry-academia collaboration. Artificial intelligence is regarded as a core engine driving both higher education transformation and industrial upgrading, with the aim of connecting AI policy and practice and strengthening engagement between academia, students, and industry.
The forum will bring together experts and senior representatives from government, industry, and research sectors to provide participants with new perspectives.
Government | Policy Outlook: Understanding National Strategy
Invited speakers include Advisor Kuan-Ming Lee from the Department of Industrial Technology, MOEA; Chief Secretary Betty Hu from the Ministry of Digital Affairs; and Director Yun-Ping Chang of the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration, MOEA. They will provide insights into Taiwan’s national AI and digital transformation strategy and identify key industry trends for the next decade.
Research | Application Depth: Building Interdisciplinary Foundations
Invited speakers include Director Chong-Tian Lin from the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, focusing on smart manufacturing and industrial empowerment to deepen AI knowledge; and Vice President Huang-Jen Chang from the Commerce Development Research Institute, focusing on digital services and sustainability governance to help participants build a comprehensive understanding of AI in business applications.
Industry | Practical Experience: Transformation Strategies Revealed
Assistant Vice President Yin-Ying Chang from Fu Chun Shin Machinery Manufacture Co. will share the company’s transformation from a traditional manufacturer into a provider of integrated smart manufacturing solutions. Vice President Chih-Cheng Ko from I CHIN BEDDING will present how the company pioneered the use of “AI coaches” in retail training, achieving a significant turnaround in sales performance. Executive Vice President Yu-Kang Lin from Junmay Label & Textile will share how AI has been used to optimize production processes and enhance precision in design workflows.
