Wei-Cheng Lo, the Secretary, expressed that NCKU has always attached importance to the development of sports. Since hosting the 110th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, besides continuously updating and optimizing the sports environment, it has also strengthened the teaching and research of precision sports science. NCKU provides students with a more technological sports environment and equipment and offers national athletes comprehensive qualitative analysis and quantitative data to adjust to their optimal conditions. NCKU will also send a strong team to participate in this event to compete for honor and wishes the 113th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games a successful and fulfilling event.
The Sports Department of NCKU stated that NCKU will participate in various events in the 113th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, including athletics, swimming, table tennis, badminton, tennis, softball tennis, taekwondo, judo, fencing, archery, karate, cycling, and weightlifting. Among the notable athletes are Wan-Ling Fang, who will represent the country in weightlifting at the Paris Olympics in July, track and field athlete Chen-Yu Wang, badminton player Yu-Chen Han, swimmers Yu-Hsiang Wang and Chen-Ping Chu, and many others. A total of 248 athletes will participate, hoping that all athletes will enjoy the competition, surpass themselves, and achieve good performances.
The torch relay for the 113th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games arrived at NCKU on April 17th. It was welcomed by Director of the Secretariat, Wei-Cheng Lo, at the Banyan Garden on the Kuang-Fu Campus, and received from Vice President Yi-Li Shen of National Taiwan Sport University.
The torchbearers from our university included students Wan-ling Fang, Yi-Jie Chen, Chia-Hsien Tai, Ching-Heng Chou, and Chih-Ming Tsai from various departments, who toured the campus.
In the 113th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, NCKU will have 248 athletes participating. We hope that all athletes will enjoy the competition, strive to surpass themselves, and achieve excellent performances.
