The ceremony was presided over by NCKU Vice President Woei-Jer Chuang, who emphasized the importance of industry-academic cooperation in enhancing educational quality and driving industry innovation.
This agreement not only signifies the official start of deepened collaboration between the Computer Science Department and the industry but also aims to facilitate the application of academic research and cultivate internationally competitive professionals.
Despite Professor Wen-Yu Su's absence, who is leading the course, the department's leaders, including Shyh-Hau Wang (Department Chair), Chung-Ping Young (Institute Director), Sheng-Fu Liang (Center Director), and Yeim-Kuan Chang (Program Director), attended the ceremony.
Special thanks were given to Hsinchu Alumni Association’s Han-Yu Gao and the representatives from the Innovation Center for their support. The presence of company representatives underscored their commitment to professional education and future talent development.

On July 23, 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NCKU held a signing ceremony for industry-academia cooperation on smart systems projects and internships at the Cheng-Kung Campus.
The ceremony marked the deepening of relationships between NCKU and six renown iSTART-TEK inc.ed companies: Gallant Micro. Machining Co., Ltd., Aurotek Co., Ltd., Ecolux Technology Co., Ltd., Sitronix Technology Corp., iSTART-TEK Inc., Ltd., and iCatch Technology Co., Ltd.
The signing of this cooperation agreement not only marks the official beginning of the deep collaboration between NCKU's Department of Computer Science and the industry but also aims to further promote the translation and application of academic research outcomes. It will help cultivate more internationally competitive professionals and jointly face the challenges and opportunities of technological innovation.
