NCKU Computer Science Department Signs Key Contracts with 6 Leading Companies
On July 23, 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at NCKU held a signing ceremony for the "Smart Systems Implementation Group and Special Talent Program Course IT Systems Project and Internship Cooperation." The event marked a significant deepening of the relationship between NCKU and six leading companies: JunHua Precision Industry Co., Ltd., HeChun Technology Co., Ltd., ShangCheng Technology Co., Ltd., Sitronix Technology Corp., Chip Measurement Technology Co., Ltd., and iSTART-TEK Inc., Ltd.
The ceremony was presided over by NCKU Vice President Woei-Jer Chuang, who emphasized the importance of industry-academic cooperation in enhancing educational quality and driving industry innovation.
This agreement not only signifies the official start of deepened collaboration between the Computer Science Department and the industry but also aims to facilitate the application of academic research and cultivate internationally competitive professionals.
Despite Professor Wen-Yu Su's absence, who is leading the course, the department's leaders, including Shyh-Hau Wang (Department Chair), Chung-Ping Young (Institute Director), Sheng-Fu Liang (Center Director), and Yeim-Kuan Chang (Program Director), attended the ceremony.
Special thanks were given to Hsinchu Alumni Association’s Han-Yu Gao and the representatives from the Innovation Center for their support. The presence of company representatives underscored their commitment to professional education and future talent development.
The event included a campus tour and reception to offer the companies a deeper understanding of the department’s history and teaching environment, fostering potential future collaborations and ongoing industry-academic interactions.
