Dar Group and SinoPac Bank Empower the 7th NCKU Formula Racing Team, Ushering in a New Era of Industry-Academia Collaboration
The NCKU Formula Racing Team, now in its 7th generation, has earned recognition from the corporate sector for its dedication and achievements. On October 8, Dar Group and SinoPac Bank announced their collaboration with the team, providing critical resources to elevate its performance. Dar Group will supply technical and financial support, while SinoPac Bank, acting as an angel investor, will offer guidance on operations and management strategies.
With this robust backing, the team aims to excel not only in creating race cars but also in making a mark in international competitions. They also strive to pass on their expertise and foster talent, contributing to the automotive and engineering industries.
The "Annual Reflection and Outlook" event, held at NCKU's Sheng-Li Campus Future Pavilion, saw the attendance of key supporters, including Tainan Deputy Mayor Qing-hui Zhao, NCKU Vice President Wei-zhe Zhuang, former President Hui-zhen Su, and Assistant Vice President Bing-sheng Wu, alongside SinoPac Bank's Deputy General Manager Pei-ru Tsai and Dar Group Chairman Ke-xiu Lu.
Deputy Mayor Zhao highlighted the importance of NCKU’s contributions to Tainan and expressed pride in the team’s passion and achievements. Vice President Zhuang encouraged students to aim high and embrace leadership roles, seeing the racing team as a prime example of teamwork and innovation.
Pei-ru Tsai of SinoPac Bank emphasized their commitment to enhancing the team’s soft skills in sustainable operations and management, complementing its technical prowess. Ke-xiu Lu, an NCKU alumnus and Tainan native, shared his deep connection to the university and his excitement to support the next generation of innovators through this collaboration.
The NCKU Formula Racing Team has been a benchmark for student-driven innovation since its founding in 2017. With expertise in design, manufacturing, and R&D, the team has participated in international competitions, including the 2019 and 2024 Japan races. Now part of the NCKU Future Dynamic Program, the team will integrate Dar Group's advanced automotive ICs and semiconductors into its vehicles, enhancing stability and efficiency.
SinoPac Bank's "Accelerator Program," now in its third cycle, continues to foster innovation and talent development through sponsorship and mentorship. This partnership aims to amplify the team's international presence and drive progress in both academia and industry.
The team, led by Electrical Engineering junior Wei-ting Liu, looks forward to leveraging these new collaborations to achieve greater success, build high-performance vehicles, and cultivate a new generation of engineering and business leaders.
