The "Power Electronics Tri-Conference" on "Solid-State Transformation of Power Grids" was held at NCKU on November 22-23.
Opening remarks were made by NCKU Vice President Jun-Zhang Li, who highlighted the significance of the conference in addressing key energy transition issues. Former Presidential Advisor Rong-Jin Shen also attended the opening, reflecting on the historical ties of NCKU to both the Taiwan Power Engineering and Power Electronics conferences.
The event included keynote speeches by distinguished experts and several forums on energy efficiency, solid-state grid transformation, and emerging trends in power and energy technologies. Notably, the Taiwan Power and Energy Engineering Association awarded the "Industry Model Award" to Rong-Jin Shen and the "Power Industry Contribution Award" to Taiwan Power's Wu Jin-Zhong for their contributions to green energy development.
The conference emphasized strengthening grid resilience and integrating AI into power dispatch to balance renewable energy supply and demand. It also explored how new technologies like hydrogen energy and electric vehicle charging management can support Taiwan's energy transition and green development goals.
The "Power Electronics Tri-Conference" was grandly held at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) on November 22 and 23.
This year's conference comprised the 21st Taiwan Power Electronics Conference, the 45th ROC Power Engineering Conference, and the 2024 NSTC Power Division Research Presentation, focusing on the theme of "Solid-State Transformation of Power Grids."

On November 22, Senior Adviser to the Presidential Office, Rong-Jin Shen, attended the opening ceremony of the conference. During the event, the Taiwan Power and Energy Engineering Association presented the "Industry Model Award" to recognize outstanding contributions to power development and the promotion of the green energy industry.
