Year-End Exchange and Sharing Event for International Scholars: A New Chapter in International Academia Unfolds
The event began with a speech by Dean of International Affairs Sun-Yuan Hsieh of the Office of International Affairs, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the international scholars. He acknowledged their active participation in both on-campus and off-campus activities over the past year, highlighting their significant contributions to promoting international exchange for the university. Dean Hsieh emphasized that the Office of International Affairs will continue to support international scholars, deepen collaborations, and enhance the research environment to foster more academic achievements. He also announced plans to introduce diverse and comprehensive services to improve the satisfaction of international scholars, strengthen their confidence in academic and daily life in Taiwan, and build a friendly research and living environment in collaboration with them.
Currently, NCKU hosts over 60 international scholars, both full-time and adjunct, from 19 countries around the world. This event not only served as an important platform for academic exchange but also demonstrated the university's active implementation of talent cultivation and retention policies in collaboration with the government, attracting outstanding international scholars. During the event, participants enthusiastically exchanged ideas, reviewed their academic milestones for the year, and actively planned and expressed expectations for 2025. The Year-End Exchange and Sharing Event for International Scholars successfully concluded, laying a solid foundation for the university and its international scholars to co-create a bright future in academia and culture.

The event aimed to foster cultural interaction and academic dialogue among dozens of scholars from 19 countries worldwide, reflecting on the research achievements of 2024 and exploring future development directions.
