The Vietnamese Students Association at National Cheng Kung University (VSA-NCKU) is hosting the "Vietnamese Culture Week 2025" (VCW 2025) from April 7 to 12. The event, themed "Land of Prosperity," aims to promote the understanding and appreciation of Vietnamese culture among Taiwanese and international friends, as well as foster integration between Vietnam and the world. The week will explore Vietnam's rich natural beauty and its long-standing rice agriculture, while also conveying the Vietnamese people's gratitude and respect for rice.
Rice is not only a staple food but also a symbol of childhood, villages, and hometowns for the Vietnamese people. Therefore, all activities of VCW 2025 are centered around "Vietnamese Rice Culture," offering a multi-sensory experience that immerses participants in this unique culture. The event features three main themes. From April 7 to 12, a photography exhibition will be held at Kuang-Fu Campus, using images to deepen the audience's understanding of rice's important role in Vietnamese history and daily life. On April 12, a cultural showcase and experience event will take place at the NCKU Student Activity Center, with multiple booths offering Vietnamese food, traditional costumes, calligraphy, folk games, and souvenirs. Additionally, in the evening of April 12, a performance gala will be held at the Cheng-Kung Auditorium, featuring 12 unique art performances and an exciting lucky draw event.
This year’s event will feature performances primarily by NCKU Vietnamese students, along with students from Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST), Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU), National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST), and National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). Through the collaboration between the Vietnam-Taiwan Cultural Association and the NCKU Center for Vietnamese Studies, the cultural gala will also showcase special performances by Taiwanese students, further promoting cultural exchange between the two sides.
The organizers would like to extend their sincere thanks to the NCKU Office of International Affairs (NCKU OIA), the Vietnam-Taiwan Cultural Association, the NCKU Center for Vietnamese Studies, the NCKU Student Development and Activities Division (NCKU SDAD), and many other units for their full support of the event. Special thanks also go to the generous sponsors, including Diamond Sponsor – Cathay Life Insurance Co., Ltd., Gold Sponsor – Tai & Chyun Associates Industries, Inc., Silver Sponsor – Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank Education and Culture Foundation, Bronze Sponsors – INTW VNM, the Taiwan-Vietnamese New Immigrant Care Association (CTVA), RTI VN, T-Visa, Vi Vu Di Du, and Crossbond Talent.
